Humans are destined to destroy one another, magic corrupts their minds.

Five friends set out to sea on vacation, but are stolen away by forces unknown. They find themselves on a strange, uninhabited island. Things are not as they seem. For one, the trees refuse to burn. Trouble lurks beneath the surface of the relationships between these friends, and old wounds threaten to make their reappearance. Strange scrolls hidden in caves with alien symbols painted on the walls imbue fantastical powers. Who made them? What are they for? How will the friends use their new powers to survive the harsh conditions?
